The program committee (Chris, Cullen, Jonathan and myself) have now finished putting together an agenda based on the topics raised in all the submitted papers. We won't be presenting papers at all - the purpose of the day is to get everyone talking, and figure out what we can do next to get this idea we all share made real. NDA agreement for visiting the Googleplex

Of course, all the information presented at this meeting will be public, and not covered by any non-disclosure agreement. But since this meeting is in the Googleplex, the usual Google rules for visitors apply. This means that you have 2 options: - Sign the enclosed NDA agreement, and either: - scan and return it to heleneas(a)google.com before this weekend; then we can prepare a badge for you - sign it when arriving onsite, and get a badge then and there - Do not sign it, and get a "no NDA" badge printed onsite. The difference between the two is that with a "no NDA" badge, you can't go outside the meeting room and cafeteria areas, even when escorted by a Googler; with the NDA badge, a Googler can take you to show other parts of the campus. Hi Agree that we are behind scedule for this. I am anyway not convinced that we should bring anything to DISPATCH at this point. IMHO it is better to wait for the outcome of the Oct 6 workshop and based on the results then decide what to bring to DISPATCH. Reminder: Paper deadline for October 6 workshop is on MONDAY

Reminder to all: In the invitation you all got, we said: All attendees will be required to author a brief paper in advance of the workshop (at least 1 - 4 pages), providing a perspective on one or many of the issues above, or other topics relevant to real-time interactive communications in the browser. A single paper can have multiple authors, however we request that the authors of the paper be real contributors and limited to no more than four. Papers are due September 20, 2010, and must be submitted by emailing it to rtc-web-papers(a)alvestrand.no. September 20 is on Monday of next week. If you have a preliminary draft ready, but don't want to show it to everyone else in "final form", just send it in so that we know what you're thinking about, and tell us when you expect to have something that you want to share with the rest of the workshop attendees All papers will be shared with the workshop attendees well before the meting; the purpose is to stimulate thinking and discussion (on the list and off it), so that we can have as much clear thinking as possible when we get to Mountain View in October. Brief update - RTC-Web summit

Just a quick update on the summit: - You should all have gotten your detailed invites to the workshop - in case some have lost it, I'm attaching a generic copy. - People have been slow in responding. If you know that you intend to come, please tell us - we're keeping a list! - We've got a number of other contacts (IBM, for exampe) that haven't decided who's the right person to work with us yet, but who are definitely interested. - The pure Codec folks working on WEBM / VP8 are planning a meeting on October 7, also in MTV. I've invited them to come, and they've invited interested people to their meeting - those of us who work at both levels will have plenty of time to talk! Looking forward to meeting all of you in Mountain View! Harald
